Purpose

This procedure guides you through creating and submitting a link indexing campaign in Omega Indexer V2.

Prerequisites

  • Active Omega Indexer account with credits
  • List of URLs to index (publicly accessible)

Step 1: Access Campaign Creation

  1. Log in to your Omega Indexer dashboard
  2. Navigate to Campaigns section
  3. Click New Campaign or Create Campaign

Step 2: Name Your Campaign

  1. Enter a descriptive campaign name
    • Examples: "Blog Posts Dec 2024", "Product Pages Batch 1"
  2. Optionally add notes or description
  3. This helps you identify campaigns later

Naming Convention

Use consistent naming: [Site]-[Type]-[Date] Example: myblog-articles-2024-12

Step 3: Add Your URLs

  1. Prepare your URL list (one URL per line)
  2. Paste URLs into the input field
  3. System will count and validate URLs

URL Format:

https://example.com/page1
https://example.com/page2
https://example.com/page3

URL Requirements

Ensure URLs are:

  • Complete with https:// or http://
  • Live and returning 200 status
  • Not blocked by robots.txt
  • Publicly accessible (no login required)

Step 4: Configure Drip Feed (Optional)

For campaigns with many URLs, enable drip feed:

  1. Toggle Drip Feed option ON
  2. Set number of days (e.g., 7 days)
  3. System will distribute submissions evenly

Step 5: Review and Submit

  1. Review the summary:
    • Total URLs
    • Credits required
    • Drip feed settings
  2. Verify you have sufficient credits
  3. Click Submit Campaign

Step 6: Confirm Submission

  1. Review the confirmation dialog
  2. Click Confirm to submit
  3. Campaign will enter the queue

Verification Checklist

  • [ ] Campaign name is descriptive
  • [ ] All URLs are valid and accessible
  • [ ] Sufficient credits available
  • [ ] Drip feed configured (if needed)
  • [ ] Campaign appears in dashboard
  • [ ] Status shows "In Queue"

Best Practices

  1. Batch similar URLs - Group pages by type for easier tracking
  2. Verify URLs first - Check for 404s before submitting
  3. Use drip feed - For campaigns over 100 URLs
  4. Monitor regularly - Check status daily during 9-day period
  5. Name consistently - Makes reporting easier

Troubleshooting
